About Us.
Irving and Associates Character Education Services, Inc. (IACES) is a national qualified nonprofit organization located in the Washington, DC area that works with community organizations and K-college institutions nation-wide. IACES provides grant writing, individual grant writing workshops, curricula modules and toolkits on four overarching topics:
Character-Building, STEM, Literacy and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

Dr. Marilyn M. Irving
Dr. Marilyn M. Irving, CEO of Irving and Associates Character Education Services, Inc., is professor emerita science education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and former associate dean of The Howard University School of Education, Washington, DC. Her seminal contributions include developing teacher leaders in 6-12 science and increasing the number of science and mathematics teachers in high-needs areas. Her initiatives improved academic performance and increased the participation of under-represented minorities in STEM courses.
